Green Inspiration and Education

blog 4-7

We’re gabbing about the benefits of green education, building green, and green financing. Welcome back, Tony Pratte, with The Sound Room. We have plenty of laughs discussing how green isn’t about politics, or living in a tree house. It’s about thinking, and making, conscious decisions about your home and how you live. One of my goals with green education is inspiring people to take action, and contribute to their life being better!

We gab about off-gassing after a recent experience I had.  Off-gassing is when VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) are released from things in your home (or building) like carpet, flooring, adhesives, furniture and more. Learn how your indoor air quality can be affected! People take tremendous measures to ensure their quality of life, but often don’t take into account how the air quality in their home plays into that equation.

The two primary benefits of green building are health and comfort and both are getting a lot of press. Yet green living isn’t just good for your health, but it can be a money saver and in more ways than you think. It’s not only about the more obvious savings, like utilities, yet it also may save you on financing with loans designed for green and energy-efficient building. Unless you happen to know someone in the green building industry, you’re probably not even aware about these financing options.
