GreenHomeCoach provides every Do It Yourself'er with an owner builder consultant. Our owner builder consultants are licensed contractors that we also call a BuilderCoach. Your owner builder consultant will have access to your home building project using the same web-based application that you will be using to manage your project. This will make it easy for the BuilderCoach to assist you in any aspect of the project, such as creation of Specifications and Selections, Bidding Process, Scheduling, Project Management, and application training. Your owner builder consultant will assist you with on-site inspections and will provide you with remote assistance when you are at the job site yourself. An experienced Builder knows everything about how the design of a home affects the final cost of building that home. Your BuilderCoach will be there for you to assist you in creating your building plans, and creating preliminary pricing. Your BuilderCoach has access to many building plans they have built in the past, and will allow you to use them for ideas while you choose a layout for your new home. If you find a home that you like, from an existing plan, you may save thousands of dollars in drafting costs. |

With the help of your BuilderCoach, you will have properly completed project documents in a few days compared to partial, and incomplete documents in several weeks when trying to create them yourself. |

The bidding process is comparably a small portion of the entire project cycle, but for many owner builders takes several months. With the proper project documents in hand, you can complete the bidding process in a manor of days, and you can feel confident about the bids you receive knowing that your costs are well bid out. Your BuilderCoach will be there to assist you with any technical questions your bidders might have, further ensuring that bids come back accurate. |
